Hochwasser

HOCHWASSER is about the physical behaviors of groups in situations of mass disturbance. There are distant traces of black friday invasions, rave stampedes, hysterical Beatles’ fans, world cup celebrations, supermarket lootings, riot confrontations. It concerns the movements that the body produces in the relationship between individual and collective experiences of urgency. The performers create situations where coming together requires the need to assess potential risk, negotiate conditions and define decision-making processes. A game of possibilities between autonomy and constraint, taking care, receiving care and showing vulnerability.
